An apologist is not a person who is sorry! 1
Peter 3:15 says “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone
who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear … “ The word “defense”
is the greek word “apologia”, where we get the word apologetics from. An apologist is a person who has
studied God’s word and is ready to give a logical, reasoned defense for the faith. This ministry prepares
us to share the gospel more effectively, because knowing what we believe and why we believe it enables us to overcome
barriers, handle objections, and earn the right to be heard.
Convalescent/Rehab Ministry

This ministry conducts a worship time, and a Bible study of complete books of the Bible. We spend time loving,
caring about, praying with, and listening to patients. We exhort them to grow in our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray
for their healing and we pray for them to be strengthened in their spiritual walk in Christ Jesus.
We also visit patients that are bed ridden. We pray with and read the Bible to them.
We exhort non-believers to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and be saved. Some come to the cross and repent
of their sins and are saved.
This ministry teaches one to have a tender and humble, patient heart. We love them very much and they love us and
look forward to our visits.

Jr. High Ministry

Kids try to imitate their peers and others with their hair styles, clothes, and speech. We want our Jr. Highers
to be trend setters. Instead of copying the world, we want them to copy God by "Being an imitator of God,"
which will in part, give them boldness to stand firm in their faith. This will also give them a sense of "No
Fear." "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear," (1 John 4:18a) and it will give
them the confidence to keep on walking strong in their faith.

Prison Ministry - Men's

Barbed wire. Steel bars and heavy metal doors. Guard towers with armed officers. Criminals. This is prison! Society says "lock 'em up and throw away the keys!" But Jesus says "...I was in prison and you came to me" (Matthew 25:36). The answer is not more prisons. It is not locking people up and "throwing away the key." The answer is the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Prisoners need regeneration not rehabilitation. Jesus has commissioned His followers to reach beyond the barbed wire fences and steel bars to touch the lives of men bound by the shackles of sin with the gospel message and the love of Christ which is what this ministry is all about.
"The Lord...is longsuffering toward us, not willing that ANY should perish but that all should come to repentance."

"And he said unto them, 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature'" (Mark 16:15).
It is the heart's desire of the website ministry to use the Internet as a tool to share the gospel with those near
and far. At the same time we strive to offer tools to inform our congregation of events and to offer tools to strengthen
the brethren in their walk with the Lord.
Women's Ministry

Dear Women,
The vision for our "Abiding in Christ" Women's Ministry is to equip women in God's Word, Worship, Fellowship
and Christian Service. The word "abide" means to dwell with, to stay with, to remain in, to seek deeper.
When we abide in Christ, we have the precious promise from His Word that we will bear much fruit. We believe that
if we are faithful to abide in God's Word, we will realize a great joy and growth in Christ, therefore we will naturally
want to follow with our Christian Fellowship and Service.
It is our prayer that this would spur you on to involvement in the body of Christ.
All my love in Jesus,
Terri Rodriguez
