Casa Hogar Belen is located in the Otay Mesa area of Tijuana, Mexico, approximately 4 miles across the border.

Mission Trips
A team from Calvary Chapel Corona visits Casa Hogar Belen once each month. The team is led by Ministry Leaders Mark & Dana Daniels.

Typical Needs
Casa Hogar Belen has 60 to 70 children on average. On a monthly basis, they need the following items. It is best to buy them in bulk from warehouse stores.
- Toilet paper (one large case from Costco lasts approximately one week)
- Paper plates, cups, napkins, paper towels
- Mops and brooms
- Bleach, soap, laundry detergent, ammonia
- Toiletries ( toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo. Brushes, combs)
- Feminine hygiene items for teen girls
- New clothing items: undergarments for girls and boys, socks
Periodically, other items may be needed; please check with ministry leaders before purchasing items

Typical Itinerary
- 7:00am - At the Church to Caravan
- 9:00-9:30am - Arrive at U.S./Mexican border; we stop in Otay Mesa to eat and regroup before crossing
- 10:00am - Arrive at Casa Hogar
- 11:00am - Begin Bible studies and projects
- 12:30pm - Serve lunch
- 3:00pm - Leave Casa Hogar
- 6:00pm - Arrive home; this is dependent on the lines at the border

What to bring
Everyone participating in one of the trips must have the following with them.
- A valid California Driver's License or a valid School Picture ID, AND
- An Original Birth Certificate, OR
- A Current Passport
- Additionally, anyone under 18 years of age must have a Calvary Chapel Corona Medical Release Form and Permission Slip signed by their legal parent or guardian.
- We also recommend that each person bring their own water, $5-$10 in cash, and snacks
